COMMITMENT
Ajinomoto Heartland, Inc. [AHI] offers an amino acid analysis service and database as part of a commitment to providing its customers with expert technical service in amino acid nutrition. The in-house analytical service and the AHI amino acid database are intended to aid nutritionists with identifying the amino acid matrix of their ingredients and feeds, thereby allowing them to further improve upon their formulation accuracy and feed quality.

EXPERTISE
The highly-qualified and experienced AHI chemists ensure that the highest level of accuracy is maintained. The AHI laboratory follows AOAC methodologies  for the analysis of “Total Amino Acids”, “Free Amino Acids”, “Free Tryptophan”, “Crude Protein” and “Dry Matter”; an ISO methodology is followed for the analysis of Total Tryptophan.

Analysis Methods Used By The Ajinomoto Heartland Laboratory

QUALITY
Where many commercial laboratories run only one replicate analysis per sample, the AHI lab runs all samples in duplicate as a means of gauging its analytical error. Standard samples are also routinely analyzed to gauge the reliability of each sample prep and HPLC run. If results from the duplicate analyses are not within close agreement, samples are automatically re-tested. AHI simply believes in quality and doing things right the first time.

To ensure general conformity and accuracy for the analyses that are listed above, the AHI laboratory participates in the AAFCO Sample Check Program and in an annual “Ring Testing” with five other international laboratories within the Ajinomoto Animal Nutrition Network. The AHI Amino Acid laboratory is designed and committed to providing the most accurate amino acid analysis to those that it serves.
